February 2023 Valentine's Community Night

Our February Community Night was well attended with everyone coming together to celebrate the Valentine’s Holiday!

Our delicious meal was served by the Caleb Eide Memorial Foundation. Their foundation was founded in memory of Caleb Eide, one of our Childhood Cancer Community children, who passed away on July 29, 2016 after a very valiant battle with cancer. The Caleb Eide Memorial Foundation is one of Childhood Cancer Community’s prominent supporters. The group also did a beautiful job decorating our dining area and making it so welcoming for our families.

Our Valentine gift bags were donated by the Hanger Clinic in Rochester, MN. To make sure each of our children and teens received a gift, Hanger donated a total of 70 gifts.

And finally, we’d like to recognize Forte Living of Rochester for donating the prizes/gifts for our drawing. The residents not only made this generous donation, but also knitted hats for our children. They were huge hit, as you will see many sporting them in the photos below.

And new this month, was the launching of Childhood Cancer Community’s Bereavement Support Group. In just the past year alone, we have mourned the loss of 6 of our precious children. Each of our bereaved families were welcomed into the group by receiving a white rose in memory their child.

Childhood Cancer Community is grateful for the ongoing support of the community! Thank you to everyone.
