From the Families:
What does Childhood Cancer Community mean to you?

Support and unconditional friendships. Not only for myself, but also for my son. He looks forward to seeing his friends at gatherings.
— Paula Shaner, mother of cancer survivor

A place to be ourselves. No one will stare at a bald head or make you feel like an outcast who needs to explain your child. At CCC, there is full acceptance AND support for those newly diagnosed, in the hardest part of treatment, ringing the bell, or 10+ years out. This is your group! We are here for YOU!
— Lisa Gifford, mother of cancer fighter

You give me safety, understanding, love, friendship and a family that I know I can count on to have my back and lift my family in prayers when we may need them. You’ve put smiles on my kids’ faces and had them in fits of laughter! Our community is built on faith, understanding, and friendship all because we are trying to fight against the same demon: cancer.
— Andrea Carranza, mother of cancer survivor

Amazing friendships and support to each other while having lots of fun together!
— Pam Schmit, mother of long term cancer survivor

Love, comfort, and new relationships. It’s a place where you don’t have to explain too much about what you’re going through because there is someone who is going through a similar situation. No matter how you, your child, or your family feel, this is a place that can take you out of the normal day to day tasks and give you a break. You are reminded that you aren’t alone no matter what stage you’re at and you will always have a place to turn to.
— Jana Schroeder, mother of cancer fighter
